These take approximately 35 minutes each to machine, plus part change over and quality check time. For 120 kits, that’s over 84 hours of production for just one part of the CCV system.

4th Production Run of the G.A.S. CCV Now Shipping
The long awaited 4th production run of the German Auto Solution M54 CCV Replacement System is currently in process and the 1st kits are now shipping to customers who have paid a deposit.
This production run will be for 120 kits, which is more than twice as large as any previous run. There are 25 separate items to machine and assemble, which are cut from approx 2500lbs of raw aluminum.
The plan is to try to get all of the kits that we have deposits for, out the door by the end of February. We still have kits from this run that are not yet spoken for, so there is still time for you to sign up on the waiting list and pay the $100.00 deposit.
Kits are shipping in the order that customers have signed up on the list. If you have signed up on the waiting list, and paid the deposit, you will receive an email when your kit is ready to ship. The balance of the purchase price will need to be paid once you receive your email.

The New G.A.S. Control Arm Bushing Tool is Now Available
The New German Auto Solutions Control Arm Bushing Tool is finally finished and ready to ship or rent. This tool is specifically design to remove the stock BMW front control arm bushings from the control arms and install the GAS Performance Monoballs.
Through the use of different size steel inserts this tool precisely adapts to most sizes of BMW front control arm bushings. The tool is designed to work on the bench, in an arbor or hydraulic press, and in certain instances, on the vehicle.
The tool is available for purchase or as a rental. As a rental, this tool can significantly reduce the cost of a monoball suspension upgrade by allowing the user the option to install their monoballs themselves, saving the labor cost of a shop install.

Pre-Ordered CCV Kits are Shipping Again!
We have finished the machining of the second half of the third production run of M54 CCV Kits. We will start assembling kits and contacting customers this week (09/13). We will be contacting customers and shipping kits in the order that you signed up on the CCV waiting list.
If you are not on the beginning of the list, please be patient. We are short handed and it takes time to perform all of the detailed assembly required on the kits. You will be contacted as soon as we get to your place on the list.
F20 and F30 versions of our popular GAS Monoball Control Arm Bushings have completed manufacturing stage and are just about ready to ship. We just need to take the product pictures and create the website store listings.
This Monoball kit fits a large number of BMW 2,3 and 4 series vehicles from model years 2012 trough 2020.
Like our other Monoball kits, these will be available separately or preinstalled into new TRW control arms.
The large and machining intensive components of the famous GAS CCV have been completed. We still have several smaller components to manufacture and the kits to assemble. We estimate shipping to start in early September.
There are still some kits in this run that have not been spoken for, so there is still time to get your name on that list. If you have already signed up on the waiting and have not yet been contacted, don’t worry, we will catch up with you shortly.
What Has G.A.S. Been Up To During COVID?
2020 has been a tough year for everyone. COVID has caused such incredible hardship to so many people and business that it’s difficult to actually comprehend. German Auto Solutions would like to extend a heart felt thank you to all of our loyal customers who have helped us stay profitable during these tough times.
During most of this COVID period we have been running understaffed, which means long hours trying to keep everything going. This has resulted in a lack of time to prototype and test many of the new products we have currently in development. Even though prototyping in 2020 has been stalled, new designs have not. The good thing about the design side of product development is that, unlike prototyping, designing can take place in small increments whenever there is a little free time here or there. You can see a few of those new designs in the 2021 products update below. Don’t forget to also check out the updates in the “Other GAS News” section on the right.
Our current plan is to hire another person after the first of the year with the specific goal of freeing up 15-20 hours per week of my current work load. Those freed up hours will be spent getting all these new products programmed, prototyped, tested and released for sale. We hope to release MANY new products early in 2021.
New Products in Development for 2021 Release.
GAS Performance E82-E90 Series Camber Plates
Fully designed and waiting to be prototyped is our fixed camber plates for the E82 and E90 series BMWs. These unique camber plates will utilize OEM BMW strut support bearings for reliability and reduced noise, vibration and harshness. The design includes a top reinforcement/trim plate that prevents strut tower mushrooming and enhances appearance. They will be available in 1.0 and 1.5 degree negative camber offsets. Made in the USA to the precision quality standards that you have come to expect from German Auto Solutions.
These camber plates will also include an additional adjustment parameter feature not found on any other current camber plate product for BMWs. The details of this additional feature have been suppressed in these CAD model images to protect the design until it’s been officially relesed.
BMW N62-N63 Valve Stem Seal Replacement Tool Kit
Destined to become another famous German Auto Solutions BMW tool kit, our N62-N63 valve stem seal replacement tools will make this difficult and expensive repair job much less difficult and expensive.
The kit will include everything you need to easily perform valve stem seal replacement with the engine in the vehicle and without removal of the cylinder heads. There will also be optional tools for setting VANOS cam timing.
The image shown is a custom GAS tool included in the kit which doubles as both a TDC indicator and a cylinder pressurizer. The rest of the kit is not shown to protect the design until the kit has been released. Like all German Auto Solutions specialty tools they will be 100% made in the USA and include the best instructions in the industry.
This specialty tool kit has finished the design stage and is waiting to be prototyped.
GAS Performance E80-E90 Series Billet Aluminum Rear Control Arm Set
The GAS Performance Billet aluminum rear control arm kit will include four CNC machined control arms to replace the factory aluminum and steel arms.
The arms will be available with either sealed and greased solid ball joints at both ends or a solid ball joint at one end and a hard rubber bushing at the other. The design will reduce rear suspension deflection and reduce unsprung weight. These control arms will also increase rear negative camber by half a degree.
100% CNC machined in the USA by GAS, anodized blue and laser etched with the GAS Performance logo. This kit is designed through the concept stage and is waiting for finalization of dimensions and prototyping.
Billet and Anodized Aluminum Coolant Caps to fit the Newer BMW models that our Popular current 1.2 Bar Cap doesn't Fit
Our current 1.2 Bar Coolant Cap has been so popular that we thought we should make versions to cover the remainder of the BMW Models. This new cap will replace the larger diameter BMW coolant caps that come on most BMW models produced after 2007.
The cap will be available in both 1.4 and 2.0 Bar versions. Of course, 100% CNC machined from billet aluminum by German Auto Solutions, then color anodized and laser etched. These caps have passed the design and machine programming stages and are just waiting to be prototyped.
Also in development, but not as far along as the coolants caps, are matching billet power steering reservoir and engine filler caps.
New GAS Performance Monoball Applications and All New Look
The GAS Performance Monoball Kits have an all new look and now fit more BMW Models. We’ve recently updated the design of our very popular GAS Performance Monoballs. The exact same precision quality our Monoball Kits are know for with a stylish new look.
We’ve also added the BMW G29, F20 and F30 series to our model line-up. All version are available as a user installed kit or preinstalled into new OEM control arms.
E82-E90 Series Limited Slip Differentials and Installation
Part of this winters plan for the company E82-M135i is a limited slip differential conversion.
The ring gears on these models are welded to the differential carrier housing instead of the traditional “bolt-on” configuration. This means that the ring needs to be cut from the carrier housing and then bolt holes drilled in order for the ring gear to be able to bolt to the new limited slip differential.
Very few shops have the capability to perform this work and we are one of them. Once we decide on an LSD brand we will video document the process and installation and post it on our YouTube channel.
We plan to stock the limited slip diff’s and offer the installation to our customers.
Billet Aluminum Engine and Supercharger Pulleys
German Auto Solutions has been a manufacturer of aftermarket supercharger pulleys for many years. We have supplied aftermarket pulleys to several well know automotive performance companies in the U.S..
With all that experience it’s now time to offer our own modular supercharger pulleys in multiple sizes to fit most of the current OEM and aftermarket supercharger brands.
Most of the designs are complete, and again, just waiting to get prototyped.
German Auto Solutions is close to releasing our CCV upgrade systems for the BMW N52, M56 and M62tu engines.
Our upgrade kits address the common failures of the OEM BMW design and is serviceable without the need to remove the valve cover on the M56 and N52 engines.
Almost three years in development, German Auto Solutions ingenious replacement system for the problem prone BMW M54 CCV is finally in production.
The GAS replacement CCV incorporates multiple new design features to make it the most effective product of its kind at recovering oil from the engine’s blow by gasses. The G.A.S. CCV is also fully serviceable to allow easy five minute cleaning at every oil change.
German Auto Solutions is proud to announce another high quality and affordable performance upgrade product. Our solid ball joint monoball replacement for the stock rubber upper front control arm bushings are in stock and ready for shipment.
This performance suspension upgrade consists of new BMW sealed “M-Car” solid ball joints, CNC machined anodized aluminum carrier sleeves, stainless steel mounting collars and stainless steel fasteners.
By replacing the stock rubber bushings with our solid ball joints BMW owners will receive a significant handling improvement via more precise steering control and improved steering feedback. As usual these are very high quality pieces that are machined to exacting tolerances and will include a link to a very detailed instruction page.
G.A.S. has also developed a custom pressing tool for rental which allows you to remove the stock rubber bushings from the control arm without the need to remove the entire control arm from the vehicle. This is a German Auto Solutions exclusive that will save you considerable time and money.

We are proud to anounce the release of our BMW M62-M62tu Cam Timng Tool Kit. When we design any of our tool sets, we start out by purchasing the OEM BMW factory tools, we analyze them, and then we set out to produce a tool set that does not compromise OEM quality or accuracy, is less expensive to manufacture and easier to use. Catastrophic cooling system failures are a fairly common problem on BMW vehicles. The problem is related to the cooling system maximum relief pressure that BMW has chosen to run, coupled with an almost entirely plastic set of cooling system components.
The German Auto Solutions 1.2 bar Coolant Cap uses 100% original BMW internal components that have been recalibrated to vent at a much safer pressure of 1.2 bar. This top of the line coolant cap is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum alloy, color anodized to prevent corrosion and enhance beauty, then laser etched with the caps specification and the German Auto Solutions name. This cap is not just an inexpensive solution to a potentially very inconvenient and very expensive failure, but is a very nice dress up item as well.
German Auto Solutions is now stocking the Beisan Systems VANOS seal repair kits for the BMW M54 engines.
This is currently the only solution out there for the problem of degrading VANOS piston seals.
The DISA valve, otherwise known as the “Intake Manifold Adjuster Unit”, is located on the side of the intake manifold and is a common failure on the M54 BMW engines.
At German Auto Solutions we thoroughly analyzed the DISA valve and engineered a permanent solution that addresses all the weak points of the original design. Your BMW DISA valve can now last the life of your vehicle with our repair and upgrade kit. Our kit is available in both 2.5 liter and 3.0 liter versions.

G.A.S. gets a new quality control machine
German Auto Solutions has purchased a Brown & Sharpe DDC CMM to aid in part tolerance checking and quality control. DCC CMM stands for “Direct Computer Controled Coordinate Measuring Machine”.
This DCC CMM compliments or Romer Arm portable CMM. The DCC CMM allows us to run automated programs to check every feature dimension of a part to a tolerance of plus or minus 0.0001″ (one tenthousandth of an inch).
We are already using this CMM to quality check all of the parts of our G.A.S. CCV System currently in production.
2020 BMW M240i added to the German Auto Solutions fleet of product development vehicles
This 2020 M240i with manual transmission will help us in the the development of products for the F20 and F30 series BMWs.
We already have a monoball kit out and we are working on some clutch and drive shaft coupling components to remove the extreme “sponginess” from the drive train.
N54-N55 Turbo Cylinder Head Porting
Gas has purchased a low mileage cylinder head for our E82-M135i. Even though head porting on turbo charged engines provides much less benefit when compared to normally aspirated engines, we feel there are still gains to be had.
The plan is to develop a “turbo specific” head and video document the process all the way through. From the initial flow testing, thru the porting process, and culminating in a direct A-B dyno comparison to the stock head.
Unfortunate this not a top priority right now. We first need to get some new product designs prototyped and released for sale on the website. Custom & Affordable E80-E90 Series Exhaust
GAS Performance will be teaming up with a automotive business friend of ours to manufacture and offer high quality, affordable, “Cat Back” exhaust systems. We will be starting with the BMW E80-E90 Series.
German Auto Solutions picks up a nice E82 135i M-Sport BMW. The 1 and 3 series E8x and E9x platforms have become very popular “tuner” cars because of their affordability and their 300+ HP N54 and N55 engines.
We plan on using our 135i to develop our own line of performance products under the “GAS Performance” name.
Initially we plan on products such as complete suspension kits, intercoolers and our own custom performance tunes.
German Auto Solutions will be developing products for BMW Motorcycles in the near future.
Most of us here at GAS are motorcycle riders, and more specifically “BMW Motorcycle” riders. It only stands to reason that we would eventually delve in making products for them.
Before German Auto Solutions became German Auto Solutions, we were a manufacturer of high performance motorcycle parts, and a motorcycle engine building and dyno tuning shop.
German Auto Solutions has purchased a high end portable coordinate measuring machine for product development and quality control.
The difficulty in developing products that mount to engines, or to other large or heavy components, is acquiring highly accurate dimensional data from them. Things like engines are too heavy and cumbersome to lift up onto a typical fixed CCM’s granite table.
The Romer Arm portable CCM solves this problem by allowing precision measurements to be made from a portable device that can be taken to the component being measured instead of the other way around. Our Romer Arm can make dimensional measurements on an engine with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.001 inch while the engine is mounted to an engine stand or even still in the vehicle.
Our new Romer arm will make the development of many of our new products much easier and less costly. Acquiring accurate measurement data up front eliminates the need to machine multiple prototypes to check and adjustment the part for proper fitment.
G.A.S. takes delivery of our new laser cutter/engraver. Initial plans for this new laser include engraving the GAS logo and other information on our anodized parts, laser cutting our silicone CCV vacuum diaphragms, and cutting out custom foam inserts to finally allow us to offer professional tool boxes for our tool kits.
At German Auto Solutions we are all about quality control which is why we try to keep all aspects of our manufacturing process in house. The only process that is currently not done in house is the color anodizing of our aluminum parts.
