This simple and accurate cam sprocket alignment tool is one of the ways that we keep the cost low on our U.S. made Master Cam Timing Tool Kit. This simple laminated sheet does everything the expensive BMW tool does at a small fraction of the cost. The alignment sheet is very easy to use and is 10-mil heavy duty laminated to stand up to years of use.
This alignment tool is used to set the camshaft sprocket alignment when setting the VANOS and cam timing on BMW M52tu and M54 Engines. This is required when replacing cam chains, cam chain guides, camshafts or when removing and replacing the cylinder head.
