Vacuum Regulator Rebuild Kit for the German Auto Solutions BMW M54 CCV System.
This kit does not have a replacement interval. To date, we have not seen a single verified failure of the silicone diaphragm or the regulator valve O-ring . We offer this kit just in case you do experience a failure, or just feel like being proactive if your G.A.S. CCV has seen many miles of service. The silicone diaphragm is glued to the CCV top cover, which is why they are sold as a single piece. The kit also includes the Teflon base ring and vacuum valve O-ring. These components comprise all of the items that regulate crankcase vacuum.
Please do not remove your top cover of your G.A.S. CCV just to check the condition of the silicone diaphragm. Doing so may risk breaking the bond between the cover and the diaphragm, requiring replacement. Failure of the diaphragm would show up as excessive vacuum in the crankcase and possibly high oil consumption. You can check the crankcase vacuum by following the last step in the online CCV installation instructions (Step #75).
