German Auto Solutions offers international shipping to select countries. If your country is included in the “Drop Down” list during checkout, we will ship to your country.
We offer shipping via U.S.P.S.- United States Postal Service, and U.P.S.- United Parcel Service. See below for the pros and cons of each service. Please read thoroughly and carefully. In order for German Auto Solutions to continue offing international shipping, we can’t be held responsible for delays and issues encountered during transit.
U.S.P.S.
Pros:
- Typically the lowest rates.
- Includes online tracking.
Cons:
- Advertised delivery time is 7-10 days, but often takes longer.
- Package gets handled by multiple carriers. Once ‘in country’, the package gets handed over to the destination country’s postal service.
- More likely to get delayed in Customs.
- More likely to get lost. Rare, but it has happened.
- Once the package is in country, and has left the care of the USPS, we have no way of following up on problems or delays.
U.P.S.
Pros:
- Much quicker delivery than USPS. Usually 2-5 days for UPS Standard, and 1-2 days for Express Saver.
- Includes online tracking.
- The package is only handled by UPS, so there is only one organization to deal with if there are problems or delays.
- Much lower chance of getting lost.
- Typically passes through Customs much quicker.
Cons:
- Sometimes more expensive than USPS. The quoted rates on the website come directly from UPS. Our actual rates from UPS are usually much lower than what the website quotes you. If you choose UPS, we will charge you our discounted cost, and refund any difference.
Important – Due to the the issues described above in the ‘USPS Cons’ section, if we can ship your order via UPS Worldwide Expedited or UPS Worldwide Saver, for equal or less cost than the USPS rate, we will ship your order via UPS, even if you chose USPS as your shipping option.
Important – The quoted USPS and UPS rates DO NOT include import/customs fees. These fees are collected at the time of delivery. Customs fees vary by product category and country. Some countries do not charge any fees. If these extra fees are a concern, please do your research to see what your country’s import fees are before placing your order.
