The German Auto Solutions BMW M52tu-M54 Cam and VANOS Timing Tool Kit is designed for BMW DIYers on a budget that only plan on using the tool kit once.

This low priced kit includes the Cam Locking Blocks, TDC Locking Pin and Cam Sprocket Alignment Sheet from our Master M52tu-M54 Cam Timing Tool Kit. The savings come from replacing two of the most expensive parts of the Master Kit with low cost alternatives. We have replaced VANOS Timing Plate and the Cam Chain Tensioner Tool with precision machined spacers that allow the factory cam chain tensioner and VANOS unit from your M54 engine to emulate these two tools.

This kit is more time consuming and complicated to use, but if our instructions are carefully followed, this tool kit can be just as accurate as our Master kit. See the "INSTRUCTIONS" tab above to preview the instructions or to compare them with the Master kit instructions.

This kit is used to set the Cam and VANOS timing on BMW M52tu and M54 Engines. These tools are required when replacing cam chains, cam chain guides, camshafts or when removing and replacing the cylinder head.
