The German Auto Solutions BMW M52tu-M54 Camshaft Locking Block Tool comes from the G.A.S. M52tu-M54 Master Timing Tool Kit.

This quality camshaft locking tool is precision CNC machined by us here in the USA and anodized to prevent corrosion and wear. The blocks are clearly laser etched for easy identification of the proper installation position. Included is a CNC machined and anodized hold down clamp to keep the blocks tightly secured into the proper position while the tool is in use, a feature not included in most other kits.

This tool is used to set and lock intake and exhaust camshafts into their correct positions when setting the VANOS and cam timing on BMW M52tu and M54 Engines. This is required when replacing cam chains, cam chain guides, camshafts or when removing and replacing the cylinder head.

    I replaced the blocks in a cheap kit from Amazon (Chinese garbage) as those blocks wouldn’t even connect to each other with everything in the correct position. The new blocks fit perfectly and are of excellent quality. Made timing the cams easy and I used the guidance from Germanautosolutions.com to do the job instead of the Bentley Manual. Very straightforward.
